1. What does Visolis stand for?

2. What are the ingredients in the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer?

All Visolis products are plant-based and encourage creation of sustainable solutions to the challenges we face today.

  • Ethyl Alcohol 70%: A quickly evaporating, USP grade alcohol that exceeds CDC recommended levels to eliminate 99.99% of harmful germs and bacteria.
  • Hydroxypropyl Cellulose: a plant-derived ingredient used to increase viscosity of the product.
  • Sunflower Oil: a natural oil that is highly absorbent into the skin and helps to maintain the skin’s natural barrier, supporting its ability to retain moisture.
  • Squalane: a cosmetic ingredient that helps replenish moisture to dry skin.
  • Mevalonolactone: a cosmetic ingredient that increases overall skin hydration and improves skin barrier properties.
  • Water: the essence of all life.
3. Why plant-based?

Plants have played an important role across cultures and various parts of the globe over centuries. It is only now that their true potential is being tested and harnessed to create solutions that are better for the world and for all the living beings on it.

4. What do you mean by Carbon Negative?

While the focus on reducing the carbon footprint around the globe must be lauded, dependence on fossil fuels/non-renewable resources continues to leave an indelible mark on the world. Our products use sustainable raw materials for production, these raw materials have sequestered CO2 from the air and allow our process to be Carbon Negative compared to other production methods for similar products.

5. Is the product safe on the skin?

Yes – the formulation is made from ingredients that have all been clinically proven.

6. Is it safe for people with allergies?

Yes, our plant-based products are safe for people with most allergies. We do recommend that our consumers should perform a spot test on the back of their hand to ensure they are not allergic to any of the ingredients. 

7. What is Hydroxypropyl Cellulose? How does it work?

Hydroxypropyl Cellulose is derived from plants and helps us maintain the viscosity of the product. As the ethanol evaporates from your skin, the hydroxypropyl cellulose forms a protective layer on your hands, keeping you safer, longer.

8. What is Squalane? How does it help?

Squalane is a sugarcane derived ingredient that helps replenish moisture in dry skin.

9. What is Mevalonolactone? How does it work?

Mevalonolactone is a cosmetic ingredient that improves skin hydration while also improving it’s natural barrier properties, which allows it to retain moisture and improve overall skin health.

10. Does the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer have a strong fragrance?

We have two products, one with added fragrance (lavender oil) and one that is fragrance-free. The odor in the fragrance-free product is from the ethanol and is not harmful.

11. Do we need to rinse our hands after using Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer?

No, you do not need to rinse your hand after using the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer.

12. How does the product prevent drying of the skin?

The Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer uses a plant-based blend of Mevalonolactone and Sunflower Oil to enhance the skin’s barrier properties, while also using Squalane and water to replenish moisture naturally in the skin.

13. How much Alcohol by Volume (ABV) is there in the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer?

The Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer contains 70% ethyl alcohol, to ensure that your skin is sanitized effectively.

14. How does the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer measure against CDC specifications?

Our Hydrating Hand Sanitizer contains 70% alcohol, which is in line with the CDCs recommendation of 60-80% alcohol to efficiently protect against germs, bacteria and viruses.

15. What does the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer protect against?

The Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer protects against 99.99% disease-causing germs, bacteria and viruses.

16. Does the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer provide effective protection against the novel Coronavirus - SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)?

The Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer was initially designed for healthcare workers in the Bay Area to help them battle the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic. While effective against the virus, it is one of the many ways in which people can safeguard themselves against the virus, but protection from the virus is also dependent on a host of factors that lie beyond the purview of the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer.

17. Are bulk orders/shipments possible?

Yes, bulk orders/shipments are possible. Just fill out our form here and someone from our team will get back to you shortly.

18. Where do you deliver currently?

We are only able to deliver across the United States. Restricted Hazardous Items include alcohol-based products (e.g. Hand Sanitizer), and are restricted from air-transport due to U.S. Department of Transportation regulations and must be shipped standard ground shipping only. Visolis cannot ship DOT-restricted items to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or military addresses.

19. What is the shelf-life of the Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer?

The Visolis Hydrating Hand Sanitizer needs to be stored in a cool, dry place and can easily last up to 24 months if unopened and up to 12 months once opened before its efficacy drops.

22. Won’t using the Hydrating Hand Sanitizer regularly affect my skin?

Most sanitizers have a higher pH level (alkaline) that leads to multiple long-term issues with rough and/or cracked skin. Visolis’ Hydrating Hand Sanitizer has a lower pH level, specifically intended to allow for long-term use, while offering incredible protection against germs, bacteria and viruses.
